## 더위 체감 지수(WBGT)는 무엇인가요?

더위 체감 지수(WBGT: Wet Bulb Globe Temperature)는 1954년 미국에서 제안된 지표로, 열사병 예방을 목적으로 합니다.

더위 체감 지수는 더위가 인체에 미치는 스트레스를 나타내는 지표입니다

 

인체와 외부 공기 간의 열 교환(열 수지)에 주목하여

① 습도

② 일사·복사 등의 열 환경 (흑구 온도)

③ 기온 (건구 온도)

이는 위의 3가지 항목을 통합한 지표입니다

※ 정확하게는 이 3가지뿐만 아니라 바람(기류)도 지표에 영향을 미칩니다.

이 지표의 단위는 기온과 동일한 섭씨 (℃)로 표시되지만, 그 값은 기온과는 다릅니다

더위 체감 지수 (WBGT)는 일상 생활, 스포츠 및 노동 환경에서 열사병 예방 지침으로 효과를 인정받았으며, 국제적으로 ISO 등에서 표준화되어 있습니다

 

에이앤디는 열사병 예방을 위한 인식 개선의 일환으로 더위 체감 지수 (WBGT)를 쉽게 이해하기 위해 "열사병 지수"로  지칭하고 있습니다.

 

WBGT는 에어컨 가동률이나 창문을 열어놓은 경우, 통풍 등에 큰 영향을 받습니다.

열사병 예방을 위해 기온 외에도 WBGT를 확인하는 것이 중요합니다.
