--- title: Silent timer ideal for work and study description: タイマーを使って時間管理をすることで、効率よく作業や学習を行うことができます。図書館やカフェなど周りに人がいる環境で学習や作業をする際には、タイマーの操作音やアラーム音が鳴ってしまうと、周りに迷惑をかけてしまいます。このような環境下でタイマーを使うことが考えられる場合、消音機能付きのタイマーがおすすめです。 image: https://blog.aandd.co.jp/hubfs/Silent%20function%20in%20library.png --- - Call: 123 4561 5523 - Email: info@edumind.com - [Login](https://blog.aandd.co.jp/en/gpdme/ad-5709/home?hsLang=en) - [Register](https://blog.aandd.co.jp/en/gpdme/ad-5709/home?hsLang=en) [![A&D Company, Limited](https://blog.aandd.co.jp/hs-fs/hubfs/Logo/A%26D%20DiscoverPrecisionLogo-RGB-2.png?width=161&height=40&name=A%26D%20DiscoverPrecisionLogo-RGB-2.png "A&D Company, Limited")](http://aandd.jp) - [Home](https://www.aandd.jp/) - [Products](https://www.aandd.jp/products/products.html) - [DSP](https://www.aandd.jp/products/dsp/dsp.html) - [Test and Measurement](https://www.aandd.jp/products/test_measuring/test_measuring.html) - [Weighing](https://www.aandd.jp/products/weighing/wproduct.html) - [Inspection Systems](https://www.aandd.jp/products/inspection_systems/inspection_systems.html) - [Medical](https://www.aandd.jp/products/medical/medical.html) - [Automotive](https://aanddtech.com/) - [Company](https://www.aandd.jp/company/company.html) - [Message](https://www.aandd.jp/company/company.html) - [Company Profile](https://www.aandd.jp/company/company_profile.html) - [Company History](https://www.aandd.jp/company/company_history.html) - [World Wide](https://www.aandd.jp/company/contact_us.html) - [Investor Relations](https://www.aandd.jp/ir/ir.html) - [Support](https://www.aandd.jp/support/support.html) - [Blog](https://blog.aandd.co.jp/en) - [FAQ](https://support.aandd.co.jp/en/faq?hsLang=en) - [Contact](https://www.aandd.jp/company/contact_us.html) [![A&D Company, Ltd.](https://blog.aandd.co.jp/hs-fs/hubfs/%E5%90%8D%E7%A7%B0%E6%9C%AA%E8%A8%AD%E5%AE%9A%201-1.png?width=163&height=40&name=%E5%90%8D%E7%A7%B0%E6%9C%AA%E8%A8%AD%E5%AE%9A%201-1.png "A&D Company, Ltd.")](http://aandd.jp) close Time management ## Silent timer ideal for work and study - June 20 2023 - Riho Kato ![](https://blog.aandd.co.jp/hubfs/Silent%20function%20in%20library.png)     By making use of a timer to manage your time, you can study and perform tasks efficiently. (Reference:　 [Improving Work Efficiency with the Pomodoro Technique](https://blog.aandd.co.jp/en/gpdme/ad-5701a/pomodoro-technique?hsLang=en)　)   While you could use the timer function on a smartphone, when you go to stop the alarm, you might carry on looking at the phone and ultimately not make progress with your work. To avoid such situations, it is recommended that you use a dedicated timer. When studying or working in environments where there are people around, such as libraries or cafes, however, the sound of operating the timer or of the alarm may disturb others.   ![Alarm sounds can be disruptive](https://blog.aandd.co.jp/hs-fs/hubfs/Alarm%20sounds%20can%20be%20disruptive.png?width=439&height=289&name=Alarm%20sounds%20can%20be%20disruptive.png)   There is also the possibility that you may not hear the sound of the timer when working while listening to music through a pair of earphones. If you are considering using a timer in such environments, it is recommended you use one with silent functionality, such as the  [AD-5709-E](https://www.aandd.jp/products/test_measuring/gpdme/ad-5709-e.html).   Even without an alarm, you can still know when the timer ends by the LCD backlight flashing.   ![Silent function in library](https://blog.aandd.co.jp/hs-fs/hubfs/Silent%20function%20in%20library.png?width=483&height=298&name=Silent%20function%20in%20library.png)   In addition to the countdown feature, there is also a count-up function which can be used as an alternative to a stopwatch to measure how much time you have focused on work or study.
